Other events

IoL extends its support to faith-based events and Masses beyond weddings and funerals. These could be Masses for the sick, baptism, confirmation, thanksgiving, anniversaries, fund-raising, etc.

We can recommend music appropriate for the occasion and theme, and provide musicians and choristers, including the cantor and animator.

Music accompaniment options are the (digital) pipe organ or piano. Our repertoire spans from traditional hymns and polyphonic works to contemporary songs.

For events requiring a larger choir and/or extra instruments, IoL can help rally additional singers/musicians.

To engage IoL for events other than weddings and funeral Masses:

  1. Please fill up the form here.

  2. We will contact you to discuss further on how we can tailor a personalised repertoire that resonates with your event.

  3. Obtain permission in advance from the church to use the instrument(s) available, e.g. (digital) pipe organ, piano, etc.

  4. Choose the music (and readings) at least 1 month ahead of the event.

  5. Finalise repertoire at least 1 month ahead of the event to secure the booking.

  6. If there is a rehearsal, do provide the date once it is confirmed. Depending on the requirements, IoL/an IoL representative can be present.

  7. On the actual day, IoL will arrive early at the church/venue to prepare for your event.

Other events FAQs

  • Please contact IoL once you have the confirmed date, time and venue, preferably at least 3 months prior to the event, to have a better chance of securing our availability.

Music selection should be finalised at least 1 month ahead of the event to secure the booking.

  • Music for a Mass must be appropriate for the liturgy. There are a wide selection of hymns available to choose from and we can recommend based on your readings. Please consult your presiding priest if unsure.

Outside of Mass, we will do our best to accommodate any special music request(s).

  • For Masses, we highly recommend the (digital) pipe organ to better support congregational singing and align with the spirit of the liturgical actions. We are also able to use the piano where preferred.

Feel free to contact us regarding instrument options for other events.

Please obtain permission from the church/venue in advance to use the instrument(s) available.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.
